The 26th Annual Melbourne Art Festival in historic downtown Melbourne exceeded its long-standing reputation as one of the top 32 art festivals in the USA.  More than 250 jury-selected artists exhibited their works and competed for over $38,000 in patron purchase awards and $27,500 in cash prize awards.

The 2010 Melbourne Art Festival winners in each of the ten media categories were chosen by Judge Anna Calluori Holcombe of Gainesville, FL, Judge Roger Smith of south FL, and Judge Pam Griesinger of Ormond Beach FL.  The Festival was honored to have these professional artisans participate in our 26th Anniversary event.  The judges visited all artist exhibits.  In each category the judges evaluated the artist’s innovative command of the traditional skills for each medium, unique perspective(s) exhibited in the piece of artwork, and the quality of work.

The judging panel determined winners per fine art category with prizes valued as:  Best in Show award ($3,000), first ($875), second ($675), third ($575) and award of merit ($280).  Additionally, each judge, at his/her discretion, selected one work for special recognition ($150)
